Avoid Seasonal Affective Disorder

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that occurs during certain times of the year. Usually Fall and winter. It can lead to fatigue, difficulty concentrating and loss of interest in activities . SAD usually begins in late fall or early winter and go away in the spring. If you think you can be experiencing SAD try to get enough sleep, stick to a regular schedule. Exercise and get outside if possible. Find times for activities and hobbies that make you happy. Learning a new craft or picking up an old one, helps to form new connections in the brain, a phenomenon known as neuroplasticity. At Osterville Needlepoint we make a very dilliberate effort to plan activities that will help you keep busy in the winter. We have weekly stitch-a-longs on Wednesdays and all day Saturday. We offer many classes with local and guest teachers. Enjoy your hobbies and the friends you meet at Osterville Needlepoint!
